BREAKING: Unknown gunmen kill three Policemen in Abakaliki

Unknown Gunmen were said to have killed three policemen in Ebonyi State; the State Police command has confirmed the development.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Wednesday night along Ogoja/Abakaliki Expressway, by Nwezenyi road, in Izhi Local Government Area of the State.

The command’s public relations officer, DSP Loveth Odah who confirmed this development said one other policeman also sustained the injury during the attack.

Odah revealed that the attackers disguised in a funeral convoy with two motorcycles, three tricycles and two Sienna buses, when they opened fire on the men of the Safer Highway team stationed along the expressway, killing one inspector and two sergeants.

“Right now, an investigation is ongoing and we are committed to bringing the perpetrators to book,” she said.

She added that the police is yet to conclude investigations on the incident
