Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on happenings within the past few days he left for London for a medical check-up.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on happenings within the past few days he left for London for a medical check-up.
Recall that he left Nigeria on Tuesday, March 30, briefly after a security meeting with defence and intelligence chiefs as well as other security sector managers. Moreso, he returned to Nigeria last week Thursday after a two-week routine medical trip to London.
However, the meeting between the two leaders was held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, tweeted.
Moreso, the tweet on Monday by Akande revealed that Vice President Osinbajo and President Buhari held a meeting during which the President was briefed on a number of issues including FEC meetings held in his absence and other issues of national importance.
“Mr President got a briefing from VP today, having represented him on a number of events & issues in last couple weeks, including presiding over FEC meetings. VP had also represented the President at a virtual Africa Regional Commonwealth Leaders,” he tweeted.
“Round Table presided over by Prince Charles last Thursday. Other highlights of VP’S recent activities included Friday’s debriefing on the forthcoming 140 Agric Export Processing centres across the country-from AFDB Officials. The work won’t stop, and Nigeria will prevail.”
