Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed a Senior Special Assistant to Benue Governor Samuel Ortom on Security, Christopher Dega.
Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed a Senior Special Assistant to Benue Governor Samuel Ortom on Security, Christopher Dega.
He was shot in the chest several times and bled to death.
Although the full details of the killing were not available at the time of this report, Mr. Dega was confirmed dead by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Terver Akase.
The retired AIG was in the Nigeria Police Force and was twice Commissioner of Police in Borno and Edo states.
He hailed from Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue state.

Recall that in March, Ortom cried out that he escaped an assassination attempt on his life as he fled gunmen who attacked him on his farm.
Ortom had been on an inspection visit to his farm at Tyomu Community in the state when suspected herdsmen opened fire on him and his aides.
More so, he had a brilliant career in the Nigerian Police Force and was two times commissioner of Police (Borno and Edo State)
Mr. Dega is survived by his wife Kashimana, Son, Siblings, In-laws, Friends.
