BREAKING: Explosion Rocks Gas Station in Ontisha
A heavy explosion has rocked a gas station identified as Cristi and Harris Station situated along the express in Onitsha North.
According to an eyewitness, the fire service men didn’t arrive on time due to the distance to the scene of the incident. However, they were just in time to prevent the two filling stations, Rain Oil and J.I. Ejison Oil, from contributing to the explosion.
Consequently, properties were lost and many injured but the exact number of casualties cannot be ascertained at the time of this report.
It is believed the primary cause of the explosion is fireworks otherwise known as knockout or banger.
