Adam Joseph Scherr, better known by his stage name Braun Strowman, is a wrestler who plays in WWE and has been through several ups and downs. Strowman, who played soccer, track and wrestling during his high school days, later pursued a career in wrestling.

Early life and education of Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was born as Adam Scherr on September 6, 1983 in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina. In 2018, he is 35 years old. He was born to father Rick ‘Crusher’ Scherr, who is one of the greatest slow pitch softball players of all time. The name of his mother is still unknown. He has a younger sister Hannah Scherr . He is of white American ethnicity and is an American by nationality. After spending his childhood in his hometown, he moved to Arkansas and Tennesee.

Strowman attended Bandys High School , where he was part of the football, track, and wrestling teams. He joined the community college a few years apart after his graduation in 2003.

Strowman worked various jobs before beginning his WWE career. When he attended community college, he worked as a janitor and a mechanic. Although he devoted himself to his work, the minimum wage jobs were barely enough to support him. During that time, he also played semi-pro football for the Hickory Hornets .

He attended a scouting program for the NFL, however he did not work for long here. Strowman also competed in a few strongman competitions before beginning a professional wrestling career.

Later, he was moved to Raw, where he had a gimmick as a member of the Wyatt Family. He defeated the team of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Chris Jericho. After this, he remained a part of the Wyatt family for a long time. Strowman entered Raw by attacking Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns as the newest member of the Wyatt Family. He made his first WWE pay-per-view appearance when he wrestled at Night of Champions on September 20, 2015. At the event, The Wyatt Family defeated Ambrose, Reigns and Chris Jericho.

In 2016, he was drafted to Raw, while Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan were drafted to SmackDown. From this point on, Strowman began his solo wrestling career. The injury was legitimate but it was minor and the recovery time was actually shorter than given by the WWE. This was done to provide an element of surprise when Strowman returned 2 months earlier. He then joined The Miz’s feud and failed in his title quest.

After this, he went on to compete in the tag team championship and was allowed to compete at Wrestlemania 34 as long as he found a tag team partner. He picked a 10-year-old fan planted by WWE at the event and single-handedly defeated Cesaro and Sheamus, making the fan the youngest ever to win any type of WWE title. Most recently, in 2018, Strowman defeated Baron Corbin in a TLC match which earned him a Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.
