Brandon Flowers is an American musician who has served as the lead singer of the rock band The Killers since 2001. In addition to being the band’s frontman, he is also a bassist and keyboardist. He has 5 older siblings and has never used illegal drugs. Growing up, he idolized boxer Mike Tyson.

- Tana Mundkowsky (2001–present) – Brandon met Tana at a thrift store in 2001 while he was shopping with his guitarist, Dave, in preparation for her next gig on The Killers . Tana worked for US designer Betsy Johnsonat that time and her unique sense of style caught Brandon’s eye. The two exchanged numbers and went on their first date to a record store, where they announced their mutual interest in the same musicians (David Bowie, The Smiths and Leonard Cohen). Tana was aware of Brandon’s deep faith in Mormonism. She read the Book of Mormon and decided to convert to Mormonism and surprise Brandon. Although the singer claimed he would have married her anyway. After four years of marriage, the couple wed on August 2, 2005 in an intimate ceremony on the island of O’ahu, Hawaii. Together they have three sons, namely Ammon (b. July 14, 2007), Gunnar (b. July 28, 2009) and Henry (b. March 9, 2011). After marriage, Tana worked as a manager at Urban Outfittersand later decided to become an elementary school teacher.

- At the age of 16, he began working as a busboy in a restaurant in Caesar’s palace. This was also the time he started smoking as only busboys were allowed smoke breaks.
- After dabbling with smoking and drinking in his twenties, Brandon decided to quit those vices entirely, realizing it made him an even better performer.
- In a 2015 interview, Brandon revealed that he quit smoking in 2007 or 2008, didn’t drink coffee, and had never used illegal drugs in his life.

- As a child, his first aspiration was to become a professional golfer, but he wasn’t as good as his older brother, which put him off.
- Since Brandon was an unplanned baby, much younger than any of his 5 siblings, he was hard fought to keep up with his brother and sisters ahead of time. He reflected the same fire as the lead singer of Die Mörder because he was also the shortest and youngest member of the band.
- When he moved to Las Vegas his next big career goal was to become a valet outside of a big casino as some of his uncles worked as valets and were always cash rich.
- Mike Tyson was one of his non-musical idols when he was 9 years old, mostly because he was a strong undefeated boxing champion. When he was unexpectedly beaten by Buster Douglas in a match in 1990, Brandon’s entire perception of the world changed.
- As the singer enjoys boxing, he bet on Conor McGregor in the McGregor vs. Mayweather Jr. boxing match in August 2017 and lost money in the process.
- When Brandon is in a casino he likes to play roulette and blackjack.
- In 2001, Brandon was a member of a keyboard band called Blush Answer . He was expelled from this group because he refused to move to Los Angeles with them.
