Brandon Boyd is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and visual artist. He is primarily known as the lead vocalist for the American Multi-Platinum rock band Incubus.
Boyd is also known as the Man with the Invisible Floating Torso, Happy Knappy, Brandon of the Jungle, and Cornelius.
Early age and education
Brandon Boyd was born on February 15, 1976 in California, USA. He joined Calabasas High School and then attended Moorpark College for two years before committing to Incubus. He grew up in Calabasas with Ricky Taylor, who inspired him to write music.
His parents were Priscilla Dolly Wiseman and Charles Boyd. Both had a lot of experience in this field, so they nurtured their artistic side from their childhood.
Brandon has a younger brother named Jason Boyd who was the former lead singer for the band Audiovent. He also has a cousin named Sam Boyd who is a professional motocross rider and his close cousin is Berto Boyd who is an accomplished flamenco guitarist.

Brandon designed concert flyers advertising their first performances. He copied various drawings from a sex education book and decided to stop using it after several fans got confused by his flyers.
The band then had to withdraw to use their own artwork. Boyd is known for incorporating interesting instruments into his songs. Boyd’s voice was part of what drew Sonys Epic to their self-released album.
Brandon created a band Incubus that finished their seventh studio album If Not Now, When? released in 2011. They also performed their next single titled Trust Fall and announced the release of two EPs in 2015.
Boyd has also written books titled White Fluffy Clouds and From the Murks of the Sultry Abyss. Currently, he focuses on doing fine art and painting.
