Later, she joined television as the anchor of weekend news for ABC affiliates on WMDT-TV and later became the first weekday sports anchor on NBC affiliate KRNV-TV.
In 1995, Bonnie joined ESPN as Chicago bureau chief, where she covered Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bull championship in 1996-1998. She had even worked as a correspondent for ESPN covering different sports. Later in 1998, she joined CBS Sports as a sideline reporter.
