BIOGRAPHY OF BONNIE BEDELIA
Bonnie Bedelia (Bonnie Bedelia Culkin) is an American actress. She began her career in theater and also during the 1960s starred in the CBS daytime soap opera, Love of Life (1961–67), before making her film debut in The Gypsy Moths (1969).
She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her performance in the 1983 film Heart Like a Wheel, and also for an Independent Spirit Award for The Prince of Pennsylvania (1988).
Bedelia is best known for her role as Holly Gennero McClane in the action films Die Hard (1988) and Die Hard 2 (1990), as well as the films They Shoot Horses, Right? (1969), Lovers and Other Strangers (1970), Bonanza (1969, 1972 appearing opposite Michael Landon), Presumed Innocent (1990), and also Needful Things (1993). She also had many other main and supporting roles and also worked regularly in television
Culkin received two Emmy Award nominations for his television work. She starred in the 2001-2004 Lifetime television drama series, The Division, and later starred as family matriarch Camille Braverman in the NBC drama series, Parenthood (2010-2015).

BONNIE BEDELIA FAMILY
She was born the daughter of Marian Ethel (née Wagner), a writer and editor, and Philip Harley Culkin, then in public relations and 50 years old at the time. Bedelia has two brothers, one of whom is actor Kit Culkin and a sister called Candice Culkin. Bedelia is also the aunt of actors Rory, Kieran and Macaulay Culkin. Bonnie was born into tough financial times when her father’s business failed and then they lived in “a cold water apartment”.
Her mother died when she was 14 and her father, “who had always had ulcers”, died soon after.
BONNIE BEDELIA HUSBAND
In 1995 Bonnie married actor Michael MacRae. Bonnie had married screenwriter Ken Luber on April 24, 1969; and the two had two sons, Uri (b. 1970) and Jonah (b. 1976). The couple divorced in 1980.
She then briefly married Jay Telfer, a musician and screenwriter.
ACTRESS BONNIE BEDELIA
Bonnie studied ballet and appeared in a few productions with New York City Ballet, including The Nutcracker before becoming an actress. Bonnie had her only on-screen dancing role as Clara in the Playhouse 90 television production of The Nutcracker George Balanchine in 1958. She was also a regular on the CBS soap opera, Love of Life, playing the role of Sandy Porter from 1961 to 1967. Bedelia also worked on Broadway, making her debut with Patty Duke in 1962’s Isle of Children and also winning a Theater World Award as the lead in My Sweet Charlie in 1966.
She made her film debut in The Gypsy Moths, then later in 1969 came to attention as a pregnant marathon dancer in They Shoot Horses, Didn’t She? Bonnie starred in the 1970 comedy Lovers and Other Strangers, and also had dramatic roles in The Curious Revenge of Rosalie (1972), as well as Between Friends (1973). Bedelia also appeared opposite Richard Dreyfuss in the 1978 comedy The Big Fix. She then had the lead role in the short-lived ABC drama series, The New Land on television.
She went on to critical acclaim in 1984 and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her starring role in Heart Like a Wheel in 1983 as drag racer Shirley Muldowney.
BONNIE BEDELIA DIE HARD
Her other well-known performances came as Holly Gennero McClane, the wife of Bruce Willis character John McClane in Die Hard (1988) and Die Hard 2 (1990), and also as Barbara Sabich, the wife of Harrison Ford’s character in Presumed Innocent (1990).
Bonnie appeared in two Stephen King screen adaptations: Salem’s Lot (1979) and Needful Things (1993). She was also Emmy nominated for her performances in the Showtime anthology series, Fallen Angels in 1993, as well as the lead role in the made-for-TV movie Locked in Silence (1999). She has played a number of leading roles in TV movies and TV miniseries, such as Switched at Birth, A Mother’s Right: The Elizabeth Morgan Story, Her Costly Affair, and also Picnic. She starred as Captain Kate McCafferty in the Lifetime drama television series The Division from 2001 to 2004. She then starred in Big Love and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,
BONNIE BEDELIA PARENTHOOD
She started acting in the NBC drama series, Parenthood, playing the role of family matriarch, Camille Braverman in 2010. Parenthood aired for six seasons until 2015.
