INJURY TO BOB WOODRUFF

On January 29, 2006, while reporting on U.S. and Iraqi security forces, Woodruff and Canadian cameraman Doug Vogt were seriously injured when an improvised explosive device detonated near Taji, Iraq, in about 19 km north of Baghdad.Woodruff traveled with an ABC News team to Israel to report on the aftermath of the 2006 Palestinian elections, then via Amman to Baghdad so he could meet with soldiers ahead of the President’s State of the Union address.
