Bob Saget is an American comedian, actor, television host, and director well known for his television roles, including Dammy Tanner on the ABC sitcom Full House and its Netflix sequel Fuller House. He also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1987.

He is also known for his stand-up routine aimed at adults. He also provided the voice of future Ted Mosby on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother from 2005 to 2014. His 2014 comedy album That’s What I’m Talkin’ About was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Album by comedy.

ACTOR BOB SAGET

Bob directed the 1996 ABC TV movie For Hope, based on the story of his sister, Gay Saget, who died of scleroderma three years earlier. In 1998, he directed his first feature, Dirty Work, with Norm Macdonald and Artie Lange. Released a year after stepping down from its longtime role as host of America’s Funniest Videos, the film received largely negative reviews from critics and garnered weak box office returns.

However, it has since become a cult favorite, in part due to Artie Lange’s later popularity on The Howard Stern Show where the film is occasionally mentioned, often in unflattering terms. In 1998, Saget made a guest appearance as a cocaine addict in the stoner comedy Half Baked.
