BIOGRAPHY OF BOB LEVY
Bob Levy is an American comedian and radio personality. For a brief period, he was a professional wrestler. He is best known for being a regular personality on The Howard Stern Show as well as being the co-host of Miserable Men on Howard 101. He was a frequent host of comedy roasts, was a frequent guest on the Opie and Anthony Show and was a stand-up comedy actor on the Killers of Comedy Tour with fellow personalities Stern Sal the Broker, Richard Christy, Shuli and Yucko the Clown.

Bob was raised in Great Kills, Staten Island. He has yet to reveal any information regarding his parents and siblings. He attended high school in Staten Island, NY. Prior to beginning his acting career, Levy worked as a semi-professional landscaper, painter, and wrestler under the name “Heartbreaker” Bobby Slayer. In his comedy debut, former Stern writer Jackie Martling bestowed on Levy the title “Reverend.” When Bob is asked why he was given the name in an article, Levy replied, “…Because I was a dirty fucking pig, and he wanted to call me the opposite of what I was doing on stage…”

Bob got engaged to a big fan of the show and eventually moved out of his ex-wife’s basement. In June 2008, Levy married his wife Christine, and they currently reside in New Jersey. In an interview, when asked now that he was about to get hitched, will he retire the bit where he ate blue cheese out of a female audience member’s ass. He said, “Not at all! I mean, it’s me. When I got engaged to her [on stage], I did it right after the piece of blue cheese. She understands that I do what I do. It wouldn’t last very long if she tried to [censor] my act. ‘

Bob was heard daily on Kidd Chris’ morning show on WYSP in Philadelphia as an on-air guest, until they were fired in May 2008. He also opened a weekend comedy club -end in Levittown, Pennsylvania and three other comedy clubs in Easton, Florida.
Bob has hosted two radio shows. One was on WNJC 1360 AM in the Philadelphia area, Rising with Reverend Bob Levy (with co-hosts Will Bozarth and John Kensil). The other was on WUFC 1510 AM in the Boston area, The Bob Levy Show (with co-host Joe Conte). Both stations have changed formats and no longer air the shows. Bob has also produced podcasts of his shows for Radio Misfit.
Bob left the Miserable Men in April 2010 after disputes with channel management over plug placement during The Howard Stern Show.
Bob was interviewed by the Bucks County Courier Times in October 2011 and said he planned to retire in January 2012, due to waning interest in the so-called “Benefit Comedy”, in which a comedian will perform for a small group of people (often for free) to raise money for obscure people/causes.

The Killers of Comedy Tour featured cast members and regulars from The Howard Stern Show like Reverend Bob Levy, Sal Governale, Richard Christy, Jim Florentine, Yucko the Clown and Shuli performing stand-up comedy. Howard Stern associate Artie Lange referred to the group as the “Hack Pack” in July 2007. The name, which has since been unofficially adopted by the troupe, caused controversy when Shuli confronted Artie on air and told him how offended he was. .Earlier in the series, Artie had noticed John, Ralph, and himself becoming the new ‘Rat Pack’ in Vegas, noting that ‘Sad Pack’ was a more apt description.

Bob, who lives in Deptford, was a regular on the comedy club circuit until last summer. According to a GoFundMe page dedicated to raising money for him:
“Bob was stopped at a red light and hit by a drunk driver traveling at 40mph. He was seriously injured and hasn’t really been able to work since July 2017.
“He sees a neurologist and other specialists several times a week and needs epidurals on his neck and back to sit comfortably.
“Needless to say, he has fallen behind on his financial obligations and has increasingly high medical bills as it sometimes takes years to get the insurance paid.
“The driver who hit him has the minimum coverage of just $5,000.
“Bob has always been the first to help others and has done hundreds of free comedy shows for others.
