- He grew up in Mid City in West Los Angeles, California. He later decided to move in with his mother in Santa Clarita Valley, Southern California. However, Blueface shifted bases again when he chose to live with his father in Oakland, Alameda County, California.
- He became interested in rap at a young age.
- In 2014, he played as a blueface for the Arleta High school football team as a starting quarterback and led the team to a championship in the East Valley League that same year. He also threw for 1,234 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2013 and 1,724 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2014.
- His song titled Thotiana also contains references from his younger years as a football player, he is seen as a portrait of a promising high school quarterback who disrespects his coach because of his championing of women and fame. The track was released on January 29, 2019 and peaked at #4 on the Hot US R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, at #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, at #9 on the Official New Zealand music chart and at number 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart.
