Nigerian afrobeat singer and songwriter Emeka Afumefule popularly known as BlaqBonez has revealed why he stopped viewing other people’s Instagram and Snapchat stories.

According to the Nigerian singer, he stopped viewing other people’s stories 4 years ago.

BlaqBonez made this open through one of his social media handles. The famous singer stopped viewing the stories because it makes him feel less of himself.

He said through his Twitter handles that people’s stories on Instagram and Twitter always made him feel less of himself. People post made him think that they have this perfect life.

However, at some point, the popular Nigerian singer BlaqBonez told himself “I Won’t Let Them Tension Me”. And that was how he stooped viewing people’s stories both on Instagram and Snapchat.

According to him to date, he still does not watch other people’s stories on Instagram and Snapchat.

He wrote:

“4 years ago I stopped watching people’s IG & Snapchat stories because it always made me feel less of myself, people always seemed to always have this perfect life, I told myself I won’t let them tension me. I still don’t watch people’s stories”

Singer BlaqBonez has sparked a lot of reactions since he made the post concerning how people’s Instagram and Snapchat stories make him feel.

A lot of people are in support of him muting people that make him feel less of himself. While some advise him to be contented with what he has and be happy for those bigger than him.
