BIOGRAPHY OF BISHOP CARLTON PEARSON

Bishop Carlton Pearson, born Carlton D’metrius Pearson on March 19, 1953, is a renowned American Christian pastor.

At one time, Pearson was the senior pastor of Higher Dimensions Evangelistic Center Incorporated, later renamed Higher Dimensions Family Church, which was one of the largest churches in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Throughout the 1990s, it reached an average attendance of over 6,000 people. Because of his belief in universal reconciliation, Pearson soon began to lose his appeal for ministry with the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops. Pearson was eventually declared a heretic by his equals in 2004

Pearson thus served as the chief minister of Christ Universal Temple, a large New Thought congregation based in Chicago, Illinois. He is also the head of a new Higher Dimensions Fellowship in Chicago and an associate minister at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa.

Bishop Carlton went to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, where he was mentored by Oral Roberts, and sang with the amazing World Action Singers , he later became an associate evangelist with the Evangelical Association OralRoberts. Pearson was licensed and ordained in the Church of God in Christ.

Bishop Pearson was received as pastor of the United Church of Christ in November 2006. In June 2008, the New Dimensions Worship Center transferred its services to All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa. Pearson performed his final service for the New Dimensions Worship Center, and he was incorporated into All Souls Unitarian Church.

In May 2009, Pearson was elected acting minister of Christ Universal Temple, a large New Thought congregation in Chicago, Illinois. It was reported that he left his post on January 3, 2011.

Pearson returned to Tulsa to be with his sick father in 2014, he died two days after Pearson’s 62nd birthday. He began preaching at the 11 a.m. service at All Souls Unitarian Church on the third Sunday of the month, he always traveled to Chicago to preach once a month at New Dimensions Chicago, the fellowship he had established there.

Pearson also began hosting a monthly guest chat in front of a live audience at Tulsa’s “My Studio” in May 2015. His first talk was with Neale Donald Walsch, author of the bestselling nine-book mega series Conversations. With God.
