Younan Nowzaradan was born on October 11, 1944 , in Tehran, Imperial State of Iran and spent his childhood in his birthplace. He has an Iranian nationality, while his ethnicity is Middle Eastern.

He went to Tehran University to study Doctor of Medicine and graduated in 1970 . Later, he went to the United States of America to practice the medical profession, where he joined St. Louis University for the Medical Counseling Program.
