Canadian-American actress, Sarah Clarke is best known for her portrayal of Dr. Elliot Reid on the ABC/NBC medical series Scrubs. She is also known for playing Rebecca Conner on Roseanne, as well as playing Stella Zinman on How I Met Your Mother.
Early life and education of Sarah Clarke
Sarah Clarke was born to Douglas and Angela Clarke on August 27, 1976, in Ontario, Sarah was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her mother is German and she used to attend a German school in Ottawa twice a week and therefore she is fluent in both English and German.
Her education was at Handsworth High School located in Vancouver from which she graduated in 1994. Her acting career began at an early age from the age of eight. She began appearing in musical productions and became a reporter for the children’s show KidZone at the age of 12.

Sarah Clarke’s first known role was as Rebecca Connor Healy, in 1993 on the show Roseanne. After the end of Roseanne, Sarah starred in Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy, a CBC television drama and was later cast as Dr. Elliot Reid in the 2001 NBC sitcom Scrubs. This turned out to be the breakout role of hers that elevated her to the heights of fame.
Clarke also appeared in movies like Cake, Ernest Goes to School and also appeared in The Lonely Island, a TV show. She also appeared on Chaos Theory in 2007 and also appeared on the hit CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother in 2008 and 2009.
The CBS show Mad Love also starred her in 2011. Her other endeavors include starring in Cougar Town as Bobby Cobb’s love interest and Living with Your Parents as Polly. She has also appeared on Grey’s Anatomy and has provided the voice for it on the show Rick and Morty.
In the year 2017, the actress appeared in Shot and Law & Order: SVU.
