Renowned actor Samuel L. Jackson was born on December 21, 1948 in Washington, DC and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Unfortunately, his father passed away from alcoholism when he was a schoolboy. He only met his father twice in his life. When he was a child, he also suffered from stuttering.
After that, Samuel was raised by his mother, Elizabeth Jackson, for most of his childhood. His mother worked as a laborer and supply buyer for a mental institution. He studied in various segregated schools.
