Synopsis

Sam Seder is an American comedian, actor, writer, film producer, television producer and director, as well as progressive talk radio host. He is known for his Air America work.

The Seder hosted four different nationally syndicated radio shows for Air America, including the Majority Report with co-host Janeane Garofalo, the weekly Sunday Seder, the mid-morning Sam Seder Show and co-hosted the exclusive video show on the website Break Room Live with Marc. Maron.

Early age and education

Sam Seder was born as Samuel Lincoln Seder on November 28, 1966 in New York City, New York, USA. He is of White ethnicity and has American nationality.

Sam was raised in Worcester, Massachusetts in a Jewish family.

Sam joined Connecticut College where he earned a Bachelor of Government in Religious Studies in 1988. He later attended Boston University School of Law.

Sam Seder debuted with the television series All American Girl in 1994 in an uncreated role. The starring series are Margaret Cho , Jodi Long, Ashley Johnson and others.

In the year 1996, Sam appeared in the short television series, The Show . The same year, he appeared in the 2005 Lebanese animated short The Big Fall.

In March 2014, Sam became co-anchor of Air America Radio’s The Majority Report with Janeane Garofalo.

On September 1, 2004, Sam was briefly detained by the United States Secret Service during their live and on-site coverage of the Republican National Convention at Madison Square Garden.

On April 6, 2007, Air America Radio announced that The Sam Seder Show would end its broadcast on the 9 AM noon announcement beginning Friday, April 13, 2007, but that Seder would do a Sunday show titled Seder on Sunday.

In November 2009, the Seder hosted a pilot for NBC of an American version of Do I Have News for You?

Personal life

Sam Seder is married to Nicole Cattell. His wife Nicole is a Guggenheim Fellow, NYFA Fellow, and award-winning documentary producer, as well as a director named by Filmmaker Magazine as one of ’25 New Faces of Independent Film.’

Sam and Nicole welcomed their first child on August 9, 2005, naming her Myla Rae Seder. After thirteen years later, they welcomed their second son, Saul Arthur Seder, born on March 7, 2013 at 5:38 am.

Sam also wrote the book FUBAR.: America’s Right-Wing Nightmare, which was released on May 23, 2006.
