Early life and education of Richard Engel

Richard Engel was born on September 16, 1973. He was fostered in a beautiful place called the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. His childhood was quite pleasant for him. He is a famous American author and a prominent journalist.

His father’s name is Peter and his mother is Nina. Her father was involved in a financial profession and her mother owned an antique store. Her father was of Jewish descent and her mother was Swedish. He prides himself on having the nationality of an American.

Richard Engel’s studied at a school called Riverdale Country School, which is considered to be very energetic, well-known, and among the best schools in New York City. He shortly concentrated on Stanford University and, although he was studying there at the University, he actively indulged in writing for the Stanford Daily.

After completing his education, it seems there came a time when he linked up and married his fellow student from the University. The relationship did not last long. There was a misunderstanding between the married couples. This misinterpretation led the relationship to tip into the spirited divorce that occurred in 2005. He is also familiar with Egyptian Arabic and also worked as a freelance reporter for about four years. His efficiency in his work is noteworthy. He got involved in different media.

As a reporter, he has worked at BBC World Service, AFP, USA Today and Reuters as well. He later became the purely American television reporter in that he had managed to leave his place in Baghdad intact when the other media called his correspondent to leave Iraq. According to the US media, it is possible to know that he was kidnapped, but they did not harm him.
