Preston Roberts was a television actor who got his first break after appearing on one of the most watched History Channel shows. Mountain Men . Similarly, for more than two and a half decades, he was a tutor in the Wilkes County School System. Until now, he also worked as an instructor at numerous primitive skills meetings and cultural events throughout the United States. Robert was married to Kathleen DuPont McGuire and the couple have three children.

Early life and education of Preston Roberts

Preston Roberts was born on July 17, 1957 in Westfield, New Jersey, United States. He grew up in the small town of Brevard, North Carolina. He graduated from Atlantic Christian College.

Robert earned his degree in Art Education from Appalachian State University. After his graduation, he met Eustace Conway in 1982 and they became great friends. Together they rode horses through North and South Carolina. At this time, they also crossed Montana, Wyoming, and Nebraska.

Along with Eustace, Robert also created the Turtle Island Preserve program.

Preston Roberts was a tutor in the Wilkes County School System for 25 years. Because of his hard work and dedication, he was voted Teacher of the Year twice. He has served as an instructor at numerous primitive skills gatherings and cultural events throughout the United States.

Later, Robert began to study independently with the Native Americans, becoming a traditional dancer and contemporary singer. He resided in Wilkes County with his family. There he had a large organic garden, as well as some horses and chickens.

Before his death, Roberts lived in a small log cabin on the banks of the East Fork River. They also lived in an old church located near Stone Mountain State Park in North Carolina.

Preston sadly died on July 24, 2017, at the age of 60. He passed away from complications due to an inoperable tumor with his wife and his family by his side. He made his last appearance in season 6 of Mountain Men .
