Lipof was born on June 18, 1973 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA. He is an American national belonging to White ethnicity. He has spent most of his childhood days in his hometown. He is the son of Emily Lipof. He lives with his four brothers.
Lipof’s father, brother and sister have all served on the Newton City Council. His mother was one of the world’s first women to become a rabbi, serving a pulpit in Brookline.
Lipof attended Syracuse University. She graduated from the University with a major in oral communication and writing in 1995.
