Reality star Nicole Curtis is an American host and designer famous for hosting a home renovation show. Rehab Junkie and Playa Flip from DIY and HGTV. She has spent her last two decades building and renovating old houses. In addition to being the host of two-hit shows on interior design and vintage home renovation, she is a licensed realtor, a multi-talented woman who is also successful in many professions. She is a woman for all seasons.

Nicole Curtis was born on August 20, 1976 in Lake Orio, Michigan. Her parents ran a home renovation business in Detroit, which inspired her to become a design expert.

Curtis graduated from Lake Orion High School in 1994 and began working at Hooters to enroll in college. She attended different universities in Michigan and Florida, but dropped out to open a cleaning business.

In her days as a waitress at Hooters, she served many CEOs and eavesdropped on them to get some ideas.

Career

Shortly after her graduation, Nicole Curtis began her renewing career. The first project of hers was her own bedroom, which was enough to give her the necessary confidence. She said that she had to be creative because she had no money.

Curtis is a self-made woman and her first career as a real estate agent was for the Minneapolis broker, where she was a guest on ‘Sweat Equity’. Six months after that venture, she was offered her show with producing credits that is popular all over the world as ‘Rehab Addict’. The first episode of it premiered on October 14, 2010 on the DIY network.

She believes that managing time for her son is a gift to him. Ethan and Curtis sometimes appear on her Instagram where they seem to enjoy their family time.

Curtis once sparked rumors that Nicole is pregnant for the second time and being a surrogate for a dog is not possible. The interesting thing is that a lot of people believed it and were surprised to learn that it was an unusual joke from a rehab fan.

Nicole Curtis is an avid traveler. Nicole brought an old house, renovated it, and gave it to her grandfather as a gift. Her relationship with him is lovely and they enjoy spending time.

Previously, she was in a relationship with Shane Maguire for many years. And the ex-partner has a 27-month-old son. And now, they are fighting for custody of the baby. They have been fighting for a year.

Curtis is fighting for her three-year-old son Harper once again, as her ex filed new court papers demanding sole custody in July 2018. She’s been hit with new allegations from Harper’s father, Shane Maguire, claiming that ‘she didn’t fits mother’.

He also added that she is allegedly intentionally sabotaging the relationship between him and his son Harper, according to legal documents obtained by The Blast.

After the allegations, Curtis sat down with People magazine and told her that she stands up for her family and would fight for her son. She added:

A week earlier, she also received mixed feedback for breastfeeding her 30-month-old son . Some of her followers commented that it’s a great thing, while others commented that it’s taboo and ridiculous.

In January 2016, Curtis was harassed with threatening calls and text messages, and following the incident, her mother filed a personal protection order against Curtis. In August of the same year, a judge denied her mother’s request and clarified that she could not heal the family dynamic in one fell swoop.

Curtis also revealed that her father was threatened to go to the press with information about her.
