Monica Crowley was born as Monica Elizabeth Crowley on September 19, 1968 in Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, Arizona, United States of America. She is American and belongs to the White-American ethnicity. Crowley was raised in Warren Township, New Jersey. She has not revealed about her parents and her early childhood to the media, however, according to her she has a brother; a sister, Jocelyn Elise.

 

Crowley completed his high school at a local high school in his hometown. He earned a BA in Political Science from Colgate University. He received Ph.D. in International Relations from Columbia University in the year 2000.

While at the University, Crowley began writing letters to former President Richard Nixon who hired her as a research assistant in 1990. At the time, she was only 22 years old. Having worked with President, she gradually honed her skills in the media field.

Crowley was an editorial advisor and consultant on Nixon’s last two books and after his death; she published two books about him titled Nixon in Winter and Nixon off the Record: His Candid Commentary on People and Politics.

 

Once, Crowley was in the spotlight for having an affair with Bill Seigal . They were even seen together in the public places, but there is no proof about it. Some sources even mentioned him as Crowley’s boyfriend. As of 2018, he keeps his personal life and his relationship away from the limelight and the public. With the limited information that she has shared about her love life, she is possibly currently single.

Elise is the wife of former Fox News contributor Alan Colmes. She was married to him from 2003 to 2017. She died of lymphoma at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan on February 23, 2017 at the age of 66.

Conservative commentator Monica Crowley caught the attention of the media and made several headlines after she was accused of plagiarism in a Richard Nixon column she wrote for The Wall Street Journal.

In late 2016, Crowley began working as a deputy national security adviser for the National Security Council in the Trump administration. However, after plagiarism reports from him, he too left the position.

In 2017, Politico also claimed that his Ph.D. dissertation and found more than a dozen sections of text that have been copied, with exactly the same lines from another academic paper without proper attribution.

After that incident, she withdrew her name from consideration for the role of senior director of strategic communications at the National Security Council in the Trump administration. Since then, she has not been involved in any media. In addition, she said that she decided to stay in New York to look for other opportunities.
