Mile Jedinak took up soccer as his passion and future career from a young age. He played competitive sports since his school days. He was part of the PDSSSC, which was the competition for the Catholic school.

He was part of the St Agnes Catholic High team. After his childhood soccer career, he was introduced by Sydney United. He had 6 years of travel at the Sydney-based club. During this period in Sydney, he also played on European soil.

He was loaned to Varteks in 2003. He couldn’t get much out of the Croatian team, Varteks. He made a single appearance in a 2003–04 UEFA Cup qualifying match against Levadia Maardu. Upon his return, he returned to a loan spell with South Coast United in 2005, where he made 18 appearances and scored 7 goals, proving dangerous on goals as well.
