Michael Holmes, a Canadian businessman/investor, is popular for his own innovative show Holmes Inspection . He is also a judge on the HGTV show. Superstar Handyman Challenge and All American Handyman with Scott McGillivray . Beginning with Holmes on Homes and subsequent programs, he rescues Toronto, Ontario homeowners from renovations gone wrong. He won the Gemini Awards: Viewers’ Choice Award in 2004. Early life and education of Michael Holmes
Michael James Holmes was born on August 3, 1963 in Halton Hills, Canada, the son of Jim Holmes and Shirley Holmes. His father, Jim, was also a craftsman who inspired Mike to call upon his creativity. Both of his parents are dead. He is a Canadian national and is of white ethnicity.
Mike started his construction job at the age of 12 when he finished his uncle’s basement under his father’s supervision. He started working as a contractor at the age of 19.
He hired 13 employees under his supervision. In 2001, while working as a set designer for the HGTV show Just Ask, Jon Eakes Holmes met Michael Quast, Alliance Atlantis’ director of studio programming at the time, and then things began to look up for him.

Mike then started his show, Holmes on Homes, which aired on HGTV Canada in 2003. He then starred in Holmes in New Orleans. In 2009 he started a new series called Holmes Inspection. In 2012, a remix television series titled Best of Holmes on Homes featured earlier clips.
Later in the same year a new series was aired which was titled Homes Makes IT Right. He is a judge on the Handyman Superstar Challenge.
Fox aired the new 2015 Holms Home free TV series. Mike owns many companies. In 2009, he launched the Mike Holmes inspection company.
The Holmes Approved Homes program is also very effective. His company is currently developing the first Holmes Community in southwestern Alberta, which is a community comprising sustainable and eco-friendly homes.
