Michael Savage is a well-known figure in the radio fraternity. Radio host, celebrity author, political commentator, nutritionist, and activist, Savage is best known for his former show The Savage Nation, which aired on the Talk Radio Network.
Michael Savage has been syndicated by Cumulus Media Networks since 2012. He has an MS from the University of Hawaii in Medical Botany and Medical Anthropology, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in nutritional ethnomedicine. Like Michael Weiner, he has written books on nutrition, herbal medicine, and homeopathy; Like Michael Savage, he has written four political books that have made the New York Times Best Seller list.
Early life and education of Michael Savage
Savage was born as Michael Alan Weiner on March 31, 1942 in the Bronx, New York. He was one of three children born to father Benjamin and mother Rae and finds his childhood difficult.
Michael’s education consisted of graduating from Jamaica High School, after which he attended Queens College graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in botany from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1970 and a master’s degree in anthropology from the same university.
From the University of California, Berkeley, he earned his Ph.D. in 1978 in nutritional ethnomedicine. This multifaceted personality therefore has a respectable educational qualification.
Michael changed his last name to Savage after being greatly inspired by Charles Savage, a 19th century sailor who was presumably the first man to bring firearms to Fiji.

Michael was the host of the show The Savage Nation which aired on the Talk Radio Network and was the second most listened to radio talk show in the US in 2009.
He hosted the show from 2009 to 2012. Before landing his first show, Savage was a stone gatekeeper for the Hitchcock Cattle Company. Since 2009, Cumulus Media Networks has syndicated it.
Along with a radio host, Savage is an author who has written several books. His books, under his real name Michael Weiner, range from homeopathy to herbal medicine to nutrition. Four of the political books he has written under his pen name Michael Savage have been New York Times bestsellers.
His ideologies are considered by himself to be conservative nationalism, while critics think that he encourages hatred. Savage is a supporter of the English-only movement and is strongly critical of illegal immigration to the United States and the philosophies of progressivism and liberalism. Because of his provocative thoughts, he has been banned from entering the UK since 2009.
