Michael Bivins is an American rapper and singer. He is the founding member of the groups New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe. His debut album, Poison, peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart in 1990.

Michael Bivins was born on the 10th of August 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America. His parents raised him with love and compassion.

Michael Bivins’ musical career took place in the year 1978. Initially, he was the founding member of the R&B group, New Edition, but the group disbanded shortly after the first release of their second album on August 6th, 1984 .
After the group broke up, Michael Bivins formed Bell Biv DeVoe with two other members of New Edition. Bell Biv DeVoe dominated the charts with her album Poison. His other popular albums were Hootie Mack and BBD.
Michael also manages and produces for other acts, most notably MC Brains, Boyz II Men, Another Bad Creation, all of whom are signed to his distributed label Motown Biv 10 Records. In addition to this, he also serves as a music impresario and A&R man in his two acts.
Talking about his film career, Michael Bivins played a supporting role in the movie Friday After Next. He has provided the voice for him in the hit video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as Philip ‘PM’ Michaels, the DJ for the pseudo-radio station CSR 103.9.
Recently, Michael Bivins appeared in the basketball movie titled Crossover playing the role of the character Heart Attack. Michael is the CEO and founder of the Sporty Rich Enterprises record label.
