Marton Csokas is a popular New Zealand actor who never failed to impress the audience with his acting ability and good dialogue. He is best known for his roles in films such as The Lord of the Rings film series (2001-03), xXx (2002), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Aeon Flux (2005) , and Romulus, My Father. (2007). He made his acting debut in 1990 with a supporting role in the television series, Jaws in the Park .

Early life of Marton Csokas

Marton Csokas was born on June 30, 1996 in Invercargill, New Zealand to Margaret Christine (née Rayner), a nurse, and Márton Csókás , a mechanical engineer. His mother is of English, Irish and Danish descent, and his father is Hungarian. He was raised together with his younger brother, Robert Csokas .

Marton Csokas’s career

Marton Csokas began his acting journey in 1990 in the New Zealand drama series, Jaws in the Park as Terry Mercer. He got his breakthrough in 1993 on Shortland Street which opened the doors to his acting career. After a year, he made his big screen debut in the fantasy romantic comedy, Jack Brown Genius .

In 1997, he starred in Xena: Warrior Princess where he played the role of Borias. He rose to fame after appearing in a 2001 epic adventure fantasy film, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring as Lord Celeborn. The role of him was very popular with the audience.

The duo stayed together for two years before their official breakup in 2007. They have not revealed the real reason for their split, but it is believed that their personal differences were the main cause of their separation.

Once in an interview, Csokas said, he wants to spend a day with Meryl Streep. She loves tattoos. He currently resides in Los Angeles, United States.
