Martina Stoessel was born as Martina Alejandra Stoessel Muzlera on March 21, 1997 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.

Stoessel is the daughter of television producer and director Alejandro Stoessel and Mariana Muzlera. She has an older brother, Francisco.

Stoessel began singing at a very young age and studied piano, musical theater, musical comedy, and dance in her native Buenos Aires.
