Mark Tremonti is an American singer, guitarist, author, and songwriter. He has been involved with three successful bands; he was the lead guitarist for the grunge band , Creed, the lead guitarist and vocalist for the rock band, Alter Bridge , and the lead vocalist and lead vocalist for his band. , Tremonti .

Mark Tremonti was born Mark Thomas Tremonti on April 18, 1974, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He was born into a Roman Catholic home to father Michael Tremonti and mother, Maria Tremonti . He has two brothers Dan and Michael. Tremonti, who are also collaborators with his band Alter Bridge.
Mark became interested in playing the guitar and bought his first guitar at age 11, teaching himself to play in the process. He too enrolled in Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida at age 15.
After graduation, he attended Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, majoring in finance. After a year, she transferred to Florida State University back to her family’s home in Florida.
He’s been in three successful bands
Mark met up with his old high school friend, Scott Stapp, in college. The two reconnected and, along with bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips, formed the band, Creed in 1993. After a brief line-up change, the foursome began playing small venues before signing with Wind-Up. records.
Under his banner, Creed released their debut album, My Prison in 1997. With a post-grunge sound and backed by strong religious themes, the album became a critical and commercial success, selling more than 6 million copies. Billboard named the band Rock Artist of the Year for 1998.
Their second album, Human Clay eclipsed their previous record in terms of sales and critical reception, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 charts. An off-the-record single, titled ‘ With Arms Wide Open ‘ also earned the band a his first and only Grammy Award. The album was certified platinum 11 times.
His next album, 2001 Resistido was also an instant hit and sold 6 million copies, being certified 6 times platinum.
Creed broke up in 2004, following frontman Stapp’s addiction to alcohol and painkillers. Although the band got together for a brief time in 2009 and even released the album. Full Circle , it couldn’t last, and as of now, the band is extinct.
Mark never stopped writing songs despite Creed disbanding, and in 2004, the three remaining band members recruited singer Myles Kennedy, of former The Mayfield Four fame, fronting a new band. The band was named Alter Bridge , after a bridge in Mark’s hometown of Detroit.
