Mario Cimarro was born as Mario Antonio Cimarro Paz on June 1, 1971 in Havana, Cuba. He belongs to white ethnicity and has a Cuban American nationality.
Cimarro studied acting from a very young age, ending up with a BA in Drama. He studied intensively with prominent teachers, including Bill Alderson and Adriana Barraza.

After completing his graduation in drama, he began to pursue his passion for acting and got a big screen break with the Baz Luhrmann directed film Romeo and Juliet starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.
Later, he appeared with Louis Gosset Jr. in Managua. Moving on to his small screen appearances, Mario is playing a recurring role as Augusto on USA Network’s Needed Roughness. He plays a Spanish chef who returns undercover to team up with Dr. Dani in the popular American series.

Mario Cimarro is currently single. Previously, he was married to the Spanish actress Natalia Streignard, who is known for her work in Venezuelan soap operas for more than 15 years.
According to sources, the duo first met on the set of ‘La Mujer de Mi Vida’. Shortly after they met, they began dating in June 1998.
After a year of their relationship, the couple got married on June 10, 1999, and after living together for seven years, they left and filed for divorce in 2006.
