She also made guest appearances on several famous TV shows like The Muppet Show , Laughing , The Flip Wilson Show.and many more. He retired from the entertainment industry in 1977 and as of 2018, he is working in the apostolate, The Ministry of the Lambs of God .
Early life and education of Lola Falana
Lola Falana was born Loletha Elayne Falana in Camden, New Jersey on September 11, 1942, to parents Bennett and Cleo Falana (died 2010). Her father was an Afro-Cuban who had left his homeland of Cuba to serve in the United States Marine Corps, later becoming a welder, and her mother a seamstress. She has American nationality and as for her ethnicity, Falana is African-American
Falana was the third among the six children and from the age of five she used to sing and dance in the church choir. After the birth of her two younger brothers, her family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Falana started dancing in nightclubs when she was in high school. She dropped out of Germantown High School just months before her final exams and went to New York City to pursue her music career.

Falana got her first big breakthrough when Dinah Washington offered her the opening act spot at her nightclub in Philadelphia. He was only sixteen years old when she accepted the offer. She was later discovered by Sammy Davis Jr. and had the opportunity to appear in his 1964 Broadway musical Golden Boy
In 1965 he began his career as a singer and recorded his first single called My Baby with Mercury Records. After her initial success in a musical career, she recorded for Frank Sinatra’s record label.
