Hunt was born on April 2, 1945 in Morristown, New Jersey, United States. She is the daughter of Raymond Davy Hunt , a former vice president of Harper Fuel Oil, and Elsie Hunt , a piano teacher at the Westport School of Music. Hunt was raised in Westport, CT.
She was misdiagnosed with cretinism at six months of age. And she precisely she was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism, a disease in which the pituitary gland does not release enough growth hormone.
Hunt was in a terrible car accident in Hollywood on July 2, 2018, while driving a black BMW SUV and trying to make a left turn. She subsequently was hospitalized for a few weeks.
