Leeza Gibbons was born on March 26, 1975 in Hartsville, South Carolina to Carlos and Jean Gibbons. She grew up in Irmo, South Carolina. Her father was a state superintendent of education and owner of an antique store. She has two siblings, a brother, Carlos Jr., and a sister, Cammy. Gibbons graduated from Irmo High School and later graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Leeza Gibbons’ Her television career began when she started working at the CBS affiliate (WSPA) in Greenville-Spartanburg, SC. After that, she became a co-host of PM Magazine. She then moved to WFAA-TV Channel 8 in Dallas-Fort Worth.
In 1983, Leeza Gibbons got a job co-hosting “Two on the Town” in New York for WCBS.
