American actor Lee Grinner has appeared on film, stage, and television since 2011. He is best known for his portrayal of Thranduil the Elvenking in The Hobbit trilogy. He played Roy Walker/The Masked Bandit in the 2006 film The Fall. He has also appeared in a series of films, including The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2. Early life and education of Lee Pace

Lee Grinner Pace is a film actor who was born in Oklahoma, United States of America. He was born the eldest of three children to parents Charlotte, a schoolteacher, and James Roy Pace, who was an engineer.

Originally living in Chickasha, he later spends part of his childhood in Saudi Arabia, where his father was sent to work for an oil company. The family later moved to Texas and settled in Houston. Born an American, Lee is Christian by religion and belongs to the white ethnicity.

He studied at Houston’s Klein High School , alongside actor Matthew Bomer. He was a fan of acting and as a child performed at some of his school events. Later, he left his school for a while to perform at the local Alley Theater.

After working there for some time, he then rejoined his school and completed his graduation. After applying to the drama team at the Juilliard School, he was selected in 1997. Before graduating from there, he appeared in various plays including Richard III, Romeo and Juliet, and Julius Caesar.
