Lea Gabrielle attended Mount Vernon High School in Virginia. In the year 1997, she completed her graduation from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Following her graduation, Lea attended the US Navy Flight School at Naval Air Station Pensacola from 1998 to 2000 in Florida. There he earned his Naval Aviator Wings. She was qualified as a commercial pilot and with an instrument rating.
