Kenny Albert is an American sportscaster, best known for being the son of sportscaster AI Albert. He currently plays play-by-play for all four major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada titled NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL.
Early age and education
The talented sportscaster was born on February 2, 1968 in New York City, USA, the son of AI Albert and Steve Albert. He has an American nationality and belongs to the White American ethnicity.
On her fifth birthday, her parents gave her a tape recorder to practice broadcasting. On his sixth birthday, his father took him to a New York Rangers game. When he was 14 he became the Rangers’ official radio statistician and wrote content for the Rangers show when he was just 16.
Albert’s father was his great idol but, apart from him, the Vancouver Canucks were his main idol. He attended high school sports for the Port Washington News, a publication of Anton Community Newspapers. He joined New York University and completed his bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and journalism.

From his early age, he was interested in broadcasting, so his parents used to give him a tape recorder to practice. He began his career as a radio announcer for the New York Rangers, as well as a play-by-play announcer and field reporter for Fox’s coverage of Major League Baseball.
In addition, Albert has played college basketball for ESPN Plus and is a fill-in announcer for New York Knicks games on the MSG Network. He was also the lead play-by-play announcer for the American League Division Series between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The expert sportscaster was also nominated for the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Personality along with NFL Fox announcer Kevin Burkhardt, Mike Emrick and his father.
In 2009, Albert called the Minnesota Vikings play-by-play and eventually hosted the New York Yankees. The next day he hosted the series, it was broadcast as a Rangers game on the radio.
