As we know, Jordan is a former stockbroker like Brian J. White but he started his career as a door-to-door meat and seafood salesman on Long Island. His business eventually succeeded, but he later filed for bankruptcy.
Also joining the firm was LF Rothschild. where he was trained by a family friend as a stockbroker. The firm collapsed and he was fired. After this, he worked at a company that sold penny stocks. He then founded a new company called Stratton Oakmont. Greed consumed him and his love of money clouded his moral judgment.

I got greedy. … Greed is not good. Ambition is good, passion is good. Passion thrives. My goal is to give more than what I receive, that is a sustainable way of success. … Ninety-five percent of the business was legitimate. … They were all brokerage firm problems. Jordan was ripping off clients left and right, and within a few years, his company was a major stock brokerage firm. Along with this, he has also written and sold an autobiographical book ‘ Wolf of Wall Street ‘.
