John Kavanagh’s career
John Kavanagh made his acting debut through the 1970 Irish comedy film Paddy as a supporting character Willie Egan. The same year, he was cast in the British DeLuxe Color war drama film, McKenzie’s Rest .
In 1984, Kavanagh made his television debut with dramatized television series, Stuck in the Free State as Colonel Brian Dillon. The same year, he appeared in an Irish drama film, Hay .
Once in an interview, Rachel talked about her father’s great influence on her life.
“Dad taught me to follow my dream, but not to expect anything, and never put myself on a pedestal.”
Rachel further explained that,
“I couldn’t ask for a better father in terms of support, both emotionally and financially, and I only hope I have half the career he’s had.”
