Virgilio Viernes Hilario Jr., known by his stage name Jiang Hilario, is a Filipino dancer, actor, and politician. He is well recognized as part of the Streetboys dance troupe in the Philippines. He currently serves as a councilor in the Makati district in the Philippines.
Early life
Hilario was born on August 11, 1976 in Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. He is Filipino by nationality and belongs to the Asian ethnicity.
Race
Hilario began his career in 1993 as part of the dance group ‘Streetboys’. Hilario also made his debut in the film industry as an actor in 1996. Some of the successful movies of his are Muro Ami , Otro and Decadas .
In 2009, Jhong Hilario hosted ABS-CBN’s midday show It’s Showtime . He appeared as a judge after hosting the show for four years. On March 23, 2016, Hilario left his television career to pursue his political career.
After enrolling in his political career, he decided to run for councilor in the 1st ward in the Makati local elections in 2016. In an interview, Hilario credited his father, Virgilio Sr., who served as a councilor for nie years, as his main inspiration to run for council seat.
Personal life
Hilario was previously married to Michelle Westgate in 2005. After a couple of years of marriage, he divorced his wife, Michelle Westgate.
In 2011, Jhong first confirmed and announced their separation. They met during the production of Miss Saigon, where he was working as a dancer, while his former wife was working as a dresser at the time.
Currently, he is not involved in any kind of romance or courtship and is not yet married.
