Jen Carfagno was born on July 19, 1976 in Pennsylvania, United States. Jen was raised in her hometown of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, along with her family. She completed her secondary education from Perkiomen Valley High School in the year 1994.
During his childhood, he wanted to become a pilot. Later, she became interested in the climate and the intricacies of it and decided to immerse herself in it. She revealed that one more thing that led her to study the weather was curiosity.
At his high school, Carfagno was a lifeguard at the school pool. To measure the pool’s dew point, he was given a psychrometer, which also measures weather conditions. Her simple practice at her school also helped her pursue her dream as a forecaster.
Carfagno then enrolled at Penn State University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology in 1998. He interned at TWC in his senior year of graduation.

Jen Carfagno began her journalism career at The Weather Channel as an intern while she was a senior at Penn State University. Her internship helped her gain the experience necessary to be exposed to the area of weather forecasting.
As an intern, Carfagno learned how to look at the camera and build her confidence while appearing on screen. Immediately after graduation, he became a full-time staff member of The Weather Channel in 1998.
After joining TWC, Carfagno participated in the On-Camera Meteorologist Trainee program, earning time in front of the camera weekend.
