Janet Hubert is an American film, stage, and television actress best known for her lead character. Vivian Banks in the television sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She played the character of Vivian Banks from the series’ first season from 1990 until the end of its third season in 1993. She also made appearances on several other television shows, including Gilmore Girls and Friends.
Early age and education
Born on January 16, 1956, in New York City, actress Janet Hubert spent her early days growing up on Chicago’s South Side. She moved to a rural area of the city of Illinois with her family when she was 9 years old.
At this time, Hubert also won a scholarship to the Juilliard School in New York. However, he did not complete his studies and went home after one year. He also studied all forms of dance at the Alvin Ailey Dance Company with some of the best tutors including Alvin Ailey and David Howard .
