Gloria Trevi was born as Gloria de Los Ángeles Treviño Ruiz on February 15, 1968, at the Mugerza hospital in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. She belongs to a mixed ethnicity and has Mexican nationality.

Gloria Trevi is the daughter of Manuel Trevino Cantu and Gloria Ruiz Arredondo . Her father is an architect and her mother was a dance teacher. Her parents divorced when she was 12 years old.

Trevi is the eldest daughter of her parents and has nine brothers and sisters. Six of them named Mario, Ramiro, Manuel, Amalia, only Gustavo, Louise are from her mother’s side, while the remaining three are named Malena, Mildred and the youngest Manuelito are from his father’s side.
