Christopher Vélez was born on November 23, 1995 in New Jersey, United States of America, but spent most of his early days in Loja, Ecuador, until he was 18 years old. He is the son of Leonardo Velez and Yenny Paulina Munoz Jaramillo . He also has a brother named Jonathan Velez . Vélez graduated from La Salle College.

Vélez moved to the United States at the age of 18 to support his family. He had a plan to move to another country to study music, but due to his poor financial situation, he stayed in the states. He had a very hard childhood. He once used to shine shoes to earn money to pay his family’s rent.
