Ali Velshi is a Canadian journalist and television presenter. He was born on October 29, 1968 in Nairobi, Kenya. His parents are Murad Velshi, the first Canadian of Indian origin to be elected to the Ontario Legislative Assembly, and Mila Velshi, who grew up in South Africa
