As a kid, Billy was always fat. However, he had to get in shape to play the role of a personal trainer for FX’s American Horror Story: Cult . So the actor started working out three days a week at Hollywood’s Easton Gym Co. under the guidance of his personal trainer named Ryan Farhoudi. He primarily focused on strength training such as supersets on an iso-lateral Hammer Strength bench press and dumbbells on the bosu ball. He also did cardio, mostly on a treadmill in the mornings.
When it came to diet, he focused on eating clean, healthy, and nutritious food. He didn’t count all the macronutrients like carbs, protein, and fat. Basically, he started eating a lot of lean chicken or fish, a lot of vegetables. He stopped eating refined carbohydrates like bread. To manage stress and maintain the quality of his workouts, he left his phone in the locker before a workout. He occasionally drinks alcohol and soda.
