BIOGRAPHY OF BILLY COSTA
Billy Costa, born William Costa, is an American television and radio host from the Boston area. He is a popular and Emmy-winning radio personality with KISS 108-FM in Boston. He is also co-host of The Matty in the Morning Show and he hosts the KISS Top 30 Countdown. Billy is also the host of the High School Quiz Show on WGBH.
He grew up in East Cambridge, Massachusetts. He then graduated from Cambridge Rindge and the Latin School. Costa attended Merrimack College in Massachusetts on a hockey scholarship where he majored in English.
After transferring to Emerson College in Boston, Billy got a job as a disc jockey at a local nightclub. He then joined Emerson’s radio station, WERS, as a disc jockey.
Billy worked at a few other radio stations after graduating from Emerson with a degree in English, including WBOS. This was before he contacted WXKS-FM “Kiss 108” in 1980 for a lifestyle/entertainment news program he pitched.
