Billy Brown Biography

Billy Brown, the man made famous by the Discovery Alaskan Bush People documentary series, used to live in rural Alaska. Brown and his family used to live far from social reach and modern technology. But, as the show continued, some hidden truths about the family began to surface in front of their audiences. Later in 2017, the Brown family moved to California after matriarch Ami Brown was diagnosed with lung cancer. The family is now based in Washington.

Early life and parents

Billy Brown was born as Billy Bryan Brown on December 3, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born to mother Kathryn Brown and father Billy Joe Brown. He has a sister, Kathy Jean Brown. There are still no records of Brown’s educational background. Brown is a US citizen and is of White American ethnicity.

Brown spent his childhood in his hometown of Fort Worth. He was in his late teens when he lost his parents and sister in a tragic plane crash.

Before Billy Brown became a television personality for his family documentary show, Alaskan Bush Town , he was an accomplished writer. He has published a few books in his career as an author. Some of his books are One Wave at a Time and The Lost Years. He goes by his name Billy Bryan Brown on his books.

Brown was passionate about desert life from his youth. Later, he began living in a remote part of Alaska with his family. The family went months without any human contact before starring in the series.
