Beya Zardi (in Arabic: بية الزردي ) was born on August 3, 1965 (56 years old) is a Tunisian radio and television host, actress, journalist and former singer. She currently works at the Tunisian national radio. She began her professional career in 1983 when she presented the Carthage Film Days (JCC) on the national channel. She has achieved a very atypical career which today brings her back to her true place “in full light”. His journey is much more than rich in promise. She had success after success.

Beya Zardi is a radio and television presenter. She is also an actress. Her career began in 1983. She shone in several Tunisian soap operas. She plays the role of Leïla Ben Ali in the film Tunisian Spring (Rabii Tounes) by filmmaker Raja Amari. In fact, Baya has always convinced the public with her strong presence. And yes, it is her strongest asset, which she has forged during her years of work in radio and television.

Private Life, Career & Timeline of Baya Zardi

Baya Zardi began her career as a television host in 1983, where she presented media coverage of the Carthage Film Days on the Tunisian channel. Quickly after this passage, she was engaged in the establishment of the Tunisian Radio and Television. There, she hosted programs such as Itr Assabah (Morning Perfume) on Radio Tunis. She also presented television programs on Tunisian Television and had a little experience as a singer.

In 1989, Beya Zardi interrupted her profession as a presenter for reasons she did not want to specify and married the Tunisian composer Slim Dammak two years later. This marriage did not last and she divorced in 2002, 

Some time after her separation from Slim Dammak, Beya Zardi resumed her career as a television host on March 16, 2002, presenting the program Mouzika on the public channel Tunisie 7 alongside host Ala Chebbi.

Besides, Beya Zardi got married for a period of seven years. Her second marital failure could be due to marital betrayal.

In 2016, she joined the team of the Oumour Jeddiya show broadcast on El Hiwar El Tounsi as a columnist.

In 2009, the journalist embarked on an acting career to which she had wanted to devote herself several years earlier through her appearance in the soap opera Maktoub directed by Sami Fehri then in the Syrian soap opera Matloub Rijal in 2011, before playing a role in the Tunisian television series Awled Lebled in 2013.

In 2014, Beya Zardi landed her first film role with the lead role of Leïla Ben Ali in the film Tunisian Spring directed by Raja Amari, which confirms her status as an actress. During the same year, she played the role of Aïda, director of a kindergarten, in the Tunisian sitcom Dima Ashab broadcast by Tunisian television.

Two years later, she played the role of Wafa in the Tunisian soap opera El Akaber broadcast by Hannibal TV.
